Ok let me give you the lowdown on Florida’s real estate. Florida is one of the states that remain popular for real estate investing and for good reasons. It has always been a very popular place to live. If you’re a businessman you know that location is always important in real estate investing. It is like one of the ultimate in investing. It is very popular to most investors because they know how Florida handles real estate. Just a few years ago, Florida real estate investing primarily consisted of the exotic cities of Key West and Miami. However, as these cities become saturated with Florida real estate investing, investors begin turning their eyes toward other investment opportunities.

The cities in the panhandle are those that have the most potential for Florida real estate investing right now. What makes it much known to the masses is that the value of it is really good. Potential-wise it has a lot to offer, we all know that the Sunshine state possesses great Oceanside properties in which offers a lot and have been the cream of the crop in Florida. It is what attracts the investors and developers. Condo real estate is another thing that has shown good potential. There have been a lot of rumblings about how Florida real estate gone from hot to cold. But one thing that has really been a good factor is Florida with all the guts and glory still has that popularity among others.

Florida real estate has been impressive for the last few years, according to the most recent census report; the state of Florida has one of the fastest growing populations in the entire country. It is a well known fact that population increases trigger a demand for real estate. It’s only natural that Florida real estate investing continues to thrice. Well so much for the state that its real estate business has been bagging the rewards for it. The population increase makes the real estate market in Florida one of the best in the entire country. Well for more than a few years people has adored what Florida real estate has been giving to the nation. What is popular to the real estate business is that it continues to thrive.

So overall, I think that we have seen so much for such a short period of time before and now we are seeing some changes which I can say are just normal in this kind of business. Florida will always be known for its rich and well known resources. I do believe that even though the real estate business is having the stress because of the slow economy it is still right to be optimistic and have a good approach to the said changes. Well in due time the real estate front of the nation can be jumpstart by well, the Florida real estate, for sure.

WHAT IS DUROOD SHAREEF AND THE IMPORTANCE OF DUROOD SHAREEF
Divine blessings on Sayyiduna Rasoolull

WHAT IS DUROOD SHAREEF AND THE IMPORTANCE OF DUROOD SHAREEF

Divine blessings on Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is the highest and the most meritorious act in our Deen. This "Divine Blessings" is called Durood Shareef.

When Almighty Allah sends Durood and Salaams upon Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), He is actually blessing him. When the Malaa'ikah and the Muslims send Durood and Salaams to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), they are actually showing Almighty Allah their respect for the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).Muslims hope that, through the blessings of the Durood and Salaams, Almighty Allah will forgive them of their sins and increase their status in this world and in the Aakirah. The Malaa'ikah hope that Almighty Allah will increase their status.

Durood is a sure means of Allah Ta'ala granting blessings, peace, prosperity and favours of great magnitude on one who recites Durood Shareef on the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). The reciter of Durood Shareef receives all the benefits in this world and utmost gain in the next world with addition to the love of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). The invocation of Blessings on the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is styled in Arabic as "Salawat", in Persian as "Durood", and in Urdu as "Salawat-o-Salaam".

The regular recitation of Durood Shareef on Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) lifts up our hearts on to a plane of comprehension where we gaze in our new found peace and moral armour.

The reciter of Durood Shareef will, after some time, come to realise by himself that it is the spontaneous outpouring of his heart before the Great Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) of Islam, whose love and attachment is needed to get all the present day problems solved and obtain mercy in the next world.

The more Durood Shareef we recite, the greater the gain and benefit will be achieved in both the worlds. Sayyiduna Shaikh-e-Akbar Mo'inuddin ibn Arabi (radi Allahu anhu) has stated that, "Those who claim to love and revere the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) should increase their recital of the Durood Shareef in patience and perseverance until, through the mercy of Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), they have the opportunity of witnessing his blessed countenance".

The special and exclusive aspect of this prayer is that Durood Shareef is immediately accepted by Allah Ta'ala. No one can doubt its acceptance, as Durood Shareef is being recited by Allah Ta'ala too. Not only this, but He has revealed this secret in the Holy Quran by saying:

"Have I not exalted thy name." Muslims are a very fortunate people. Allah Ta'ala chose for them the name of Islam as a religion, declared to be comprehensive and final for mankind. The person chose to deliver this message in this specific form and extra-ordinary style of love and hope was the most beloved of Allah Ta'ala and became the Light of Divinity to be shed upon the entire universe. This Light devastated all the domains of darkness and depression. By reciting Durood Shareef (Salawat) we invite Light and drive away all darkness from our inner soul. Our mind becomes soft and love saturated. If there is softness in everything, it tends beauty to it. People become ugly owing to lack of this essential beauty of the inner part of the mind. This ugliness cannot be glossed over by any amount of cosmetics. It is the Durood Shareef on the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) which works wonders.

In the same manner, the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) taught us Durood Shareef to attain salvation, perfect peace and maximum gain in this world as well as the next. The soul is the soil where the faith of Allah is to be implanted firmly and faithfully which requires continuous recitation of Durood Shareef to thrive and flourish.

We have been told by Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) that Durood Shareef is itself Light and when Light enters the soul every aspiration is achieved and every goal is won. Nothing remains thereafter to worry about.

Human spirit today is depressed everywhere and mankind has come to the edge of destruction, decay and devastation. Everyone is engulfed in untold miseries and tragedies of a very great magnitude. Troubles and tortures, pain, poverty, hunger, ill-health, frustrations and accidents have broken the back of a human being. All this can evaporate with the recitation of Durood Shareef on the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) who has clearly proclaimed that Durood Shareef is the panacea of all ills and that if any one comes across a calamity he should recite Durood Shareef in the maximum number. Allah Ta'ala has promised that if anyone recites Durood only once, He showers ten blessings on the reciter immediately.

It is narrated that once Sayyiduna Musa (alaihis salaam) walked a very long distance in the desert during summer at noon. He fainted due to thirst and hunger. After a while, when he regained his consciousness, Allah Ta'ala sent Sayyiduna Jibrael (alaihis salaam) to go and inquire from Sayyiduna Musa (alaihis salaam) if he was thirsty or not. Sayyiduna Musa (alaihis salaam) replied that he was thirsty. Allah Ta'ala told him that the thirst on the Day of Judgement will be a million times more than what Sayyiduna Moosa (alaihis salaam) experienced. Sayyiduna Musa (alaihis salaam) was told that if he wished to get rid of that thirst on the hottest Day of Judgement, he would have to do one thing. When Sayyiduna Musa (alaihis salaam) enquired as to what should be done, Allah Ta'ala told him that he should recite Durood Shareef in abundance on His last Prophet, Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Sayyiduna Musa (alaihis salaam) thanked Allah Ta'ala and immediately began reciting Durood Shareef on the Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).

From the above fact it is quite clear that Allah Ta'ala has given orders even to his Ambiya to recite Salawat on the last and final Prophet of Islam, and that Durood Shareef is not only panacea and a solution to the ills of this world but in the next too.

In another story, it is narrated that when Sayyiduna Adam (alaihis salaam) saw Bibi Hawa (radi Allahu anha) he wanted to be close to her, but Allah Ta'ala sent Sayyiduna Jibrael (alaihis salaam) to stop him. Allah Ta'ala told him that if he wanted to take Bibi Hawa (radi Allahu anha) as his wife, he should first pay Mahr (dowry). On his inquiry as to what the Mahr was, Allah Ta'ala told Sayyiduna Jibrael (alaihis salaam) to inform him that the best way of paying the dowry is for him to recite Durood Shareef 3 times on His last Prophet, Sayyiduna Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Sayyiduna Adam (alaihis salaam) did so, Bibi Hawa (radi Allahu anha) was granted to him as his legal and legitimate wife.

The highest blessings which Islam has conferred on man is the concept of Tauheed or Unity of Allah in its purest form. This has been furnished to mankind through Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), the last of the Prophets. It is a cardinal duty of every Muslim man and woman, young and old to entertain the highest respect, regard, love and esteem for the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and his family. It should be clear that obedience to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is always to be charged with intense love and highest regard for him, for it is through love and esteem that truth can be comprehended and communion with the Creator can be vouch-safed. In fact, love is the motive force, reverence dissolves and implicit obedience to the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) which is the natural outcome. It is therefore incumbent on those who love him, to pray to Allah Ta'ala and His Angels in wishing for him peace according to the Divine Command. This will reshape the life which is otherwise infested with turmoil. The reciter will get countless and matchless benefits in both the Worlds and can claim to be the lover of Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). As Muslims we should recite Durood Shareef in the Arabic language. Islam seeks to create a unified outlook and it is in the Arabic language alone which welds all Muslims into one great brotherhood. Besides, Arabic is the language of Heaven, it is the language of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), it is the language of the Angels and it is the language of Sayyiduna Abu-Bakr, Sayyiduna Umar, Sayyiduna Uthman and Sayyiduna Ali (radi Allahu anhuma). The daily recitation of Durood Shareef has a tremendous effect on the human head, heart, mind and person. It purifies thoughts and intensifies actions. It makes passages for perfect peace and personal satisfaction.

Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "Without doubt, there is an Angel of Almighty Allah whom Allah has given power to listen to the voices of all the people. Whenever any person reads the Durood Shareef, this Angel delivers the Durood Shareef to me. I then plead to Almighty Allah for the person to receive ten blessings for reading a single Durood Shareef". (Jami'us Sagheer)

How should one recite the Durood Shareef? What should be the persons condition and the conditions of his environment? The following points should be taken into account when reciting Durood Shareef:-

1. It should be read with utmost humility and respect.
2. The clothes of the reciter should be clean and free from all impurity.
3. The place where the Durood Shareef is to be read should be clean.
4. It is more superior to be in a state of Wudhu while reciting the Durood Shareef.
5. It is better to sit in the Tashahudd position as you would sit when in Salaah and recite the Durood Shareef with concentration and the respect due to it.
6. It is preferable to face Madinatul Munawwarah.
7. If possible, one should have sweet fragrance around the place.
8. The reciter should try and understand the meaning of the Durood Shareef.
9. One should possess a clean and untainted intention. One should read with the sole intention of pleasing Almighty Allah and Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).
10. The person should not be involved in worldly talks.
11. A person should try his level best to follow the example or Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).
12. When reading Durood Shareef, you should try and imagine that you are sitting in the august presence of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Utmost respect and reverence should be displayed.
13. Whenever one hears or recites the Durood Shareef, it should be read and written in full. It is also preferable to kiss one's thumb and rub them over one's eyes when hearing the name of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).
14. When the reading of the Durood Shareef is completed one should praise Allah Ta'ala that he has given you the opportunity of reading such a great Zikr as the Durood Shareef.
15. Whenever one takes the name of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), one should use titles of respect and reverence.
16. As an advantage one should count on one's fingers as Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) often encouraged this practice because on the Day of Qiyamah those same fingers will bear witness at the time when they are questioned.
17. Recite Durood Shareef wherever you are (not in the bathroom or toilet) and during any occasion.

For years now the modern style side of the furniture business has been raising the bar and it has been a good sign more than anything because it carries a certain vibe that can be considered as a big improvement over the years. Just like anything in the business it gives away a lot and has been the focus sometimes of the critics and experts. Let me tell you that a complete living room set is more desirable and better if it has a modern sense to it. Today's modern media furniture needs to do more than just house your TV and stereo. It is just as important that your entertainment armoire, media cabinet, entertainment center or Audio-Video rack hold CDs, DVDs, and even old videotapes, while matching or coordinating with the existing home furniture. It should have the modern vibe to it.

<!--  /* Style Definitions */  p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal 	{mso-style-parent:""; 	margin:0in; 	margin-bottom:.0001pt; 	mso-pagination:widow-orphan; 	font-size:12.0pt; 	font-family:"Times New Roman"; 	mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} @page Section1 	{size:8.5in 11.0in; 	margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; 	mso-header-margin:.5in; 	mso-footer-margin:.5in; 	mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 	{page:Section1;} -->
mso-bidi-language:#0400;}

Your ultimate decision will depend in large part on what fits the space, although personal preference is always important. But if you are fielding for tips I may just tell you that a modern look to your media furniture can always raise the bear high for its type of furniture. Living room furniture such as coffee tables, end tables, side tables, ottomans and decorative chests are just a few of the larger, more impressive pieces of living room furniture accessories available. Smaller living room accessories help to add homey touches that make a house a home. Such items include candleholders, picture frames, artwork, and flower vases among many others. A modern touch is always a big upgrade.

Taking on modern furniture styles a you shop for your new living room furniture you will encounter several different styles. Keep the following in mind as you decide what works best in your home. Modern living room furniture is sleek and streamlined and known for using the most technologically and architecturally advanced design. Transitional living room furniture is a combination of modern, traditional, and casual styles. Traditional living room furniture springs from many sources, including Colonial furniture design, Queen Anne's reign, and antique Roman styles. And last but not the least casual living room furniture is all about laidback comfort. Often seen in natural- or light-colored woods, this style fits the no-nonsense home and a "no frills" sensibility.

So when considering modern furniture for your living room you at least should be knowledgeable and well-informed on things that you will have in your home. It is very much important that you have the urge to know everything like details and little info. Modern furniture has come a long way and the popularity of it has really peeked. Furthermore the modern furniture should be completely complemented by the decors and the theme in your living room. You need to be strapped with information and ideas on what you want to do in order for you to at least have a modern furniture splash in your home.

Residents of San Francisco have a big decision ahead of them. Come November, many will be voting for George W. Bush.

No, Obama hasn't picked Bush to be his Vice-President. It seems some want to rename the water pollution control plant (that's a sewage plant for those of you like me who come from a small town) after him.

We think that it's important to remember our leaders in the right historical context," said McConnell, a member of the group that was formed after friends came up with the renaming idea. "In President Bush's case, we think that we will be cleaning up a substantial mess for the next 10 or 20 years," he said. "The sewage treatment facility's job is to clean up a mess, so we think it's a fitting tribute."

The public utilities commission spokesman had this to say about the idea:

The plant that they're seeking to rename really offers extraordinary environmental benefits.

So there you have it. The people of San Francisco can now use the power of the ballot box to turn Bush into an environmentalist.

Tune in tomorrow for a different take on this story.

The truth is when it comes to modern furniture the thing that always comes in to mind is living room furniture. The way you arrange seating in your living room effects how your family and guests socialize and congregate in your home. Well I think with modern furniture ther3e are so much in store. With the right arrangement and seating styles you can turn a drab and quiet living area into a buzzing den of conversation. I can recommend looking for modern couches that reflect your personal style, but also offer comfortable seating. Be wary of seating that is too soft, as this will make it hard for people to sit forward and engage with others. Modern couches have impact on your living room and it can give you the advantage on having a comfy yet stylish piece on your home. It is just a testimonial that modern furniture surely gives a lot in terms of giving your home a makeover.

Well in terms of other modern furniture, finding a chair, chaise or recliner in which to hunker down for movie or TV viewing is perfectly reasonable, it is not asking much or having it just for the sake of it. Just make sure that it isn't your main item of living room furniture. A couch that is too firm will not be comfortable for long conversations. Often the best choice is something cushiony but supportive. That is a fact that you should keep in mind at least when considering purchasing a modern furniture. Keep in mind that modern furniture has so much to offer and it has indeed a class of its own that firmly directs something on your home, like a sense of ownership of some kind.

It is known that popular living room seating includes couches and sectional sofas, chaise lounges, accent seating, recliners, armchairs and loveseats. Modern sofas or couch have been always been considered as a centerpiece to a home often making a big impact on overall design and style. The comfort level should be watched closely as well because it doesn’t just make you satisfy on in but it makes you comfortable in a sense. People always fall in love in sofas or couch that has more than just one sense. Like if a modern couch can make the owner feel satisfied and at the same time proud of the piece it is a good thing, I mean it is a positive thing. Modern sofa and couch always suspends you the added likelihood of a modern style to your home.

Judging on the things that people have thrown on its way, the modern couch or sofa have always come into a directive that modern furniture in general have an advantage over its competition, the things that people like on a modern furniture are the things that really stands out on this genre. It has a different generation and observation because first and foremost the influence on modern couch and sofa to a home is actually big and it has bigger impact to the owner as well. So overall modern sofa or couch can really give you the A+ in home style.

Erle Frayne Argonza
Agriculture remains to be among the most protected sectors of the US economy.

Erle Frayne Argonza

Agriculture remains to be among the most protected sectors of the US economy. Enough to cause ceaseless chagrin on the members of the WTO, who have been demanding that the EU-USA-Japan trilateral belt better play by the rules and remove the trade barriers in agriculture.

But the overall alarming trend in America’s agriculture is the rapid shrinking of arable lands altogether. Lucky enough that America is blessed with millions of acres of arable land, but the liberalization of land use conversions affected this mighty economy strongly like in other countries. Prime agricultural lands are being transformed into commercial and residential lands, most specially those southern regions that practically fed the whole America for nigh centuries long.

Agriculture is following a general trend of economic decay. The historic practice of mono-cropping alone had already created havoc on the soil quality in many places across the US. Compounding the decay problem is the pressure by WTO members for the sector to bring down the trade barrier, thus possibly bringing in floods of cheap food imports from Europe and the south.

Just recently, the inflated marketability of biofuels led many a planter to shift to massive corn production, for the sole purpose of raking profits on alternative fuels. Of course, many hedge funds and enthused investors had cashed in on the biofuels craze, and news came out that even Bill Gates had invested in this ‘greenfield’ energy source.

Estimates put the amount of corn planted to biofuels as more than enough to feed over 110 million people. That’s a lot of mouths to feed for sure! But feeding mouths is hardly the priority in the US agriculture today, the core focus being the next round of looting on the consumers’ purse by driving food prices upwards both due to the biofuels craze and speculation on food stocks.

So, what say you, voters of America? Let’s just hope the political bigwigs contesting the presidency will indeed take the interest of ‘food security’ at its core. Failing to do so, America itself might end up with inflated food prices in the couples of years ahead, and believe it or not, the Depression era of seeing people without food on their plates may come back. The difference being that the Great Depression was only quite temporary, while this coming ‘food insecurity’ will be around for a very long time.

This brings to mind what the late John Meynard Keynes declared cryptically, “in the long run, we shall all be dead!”

[Writ 06 June 2008, Quezon City, MeroManila]

Judge Judy claims to know when someone is lying by their “Eye Accessing Cues,” a little more about them in a moment, Jeremy Kyle uses a lie detector machine and Tricia uses an expert. Some of the results and the shows hosts assertions change people’s lives; for the good or the worst only the individual’s concerned will know in time.

On a recent repeated show of Jeremy Kyle’s, five people took lie detector tests, four came back that they were telling the truth, the fifth’s result came back as inconclusive. Apparently the person being tested had a slight reaction, not enough for the expert to say they were lying. Jeremy Kyle then added, “One day you may tell her the truth.” This is a very damaging and dangerous remark because of the asserted implication that the person was lying and the seed of doubt is sowed in the other four minds. The preverbal, “Maggot eating away inside the apple,” as they now cannot help but question everything the other person says or does and go over events to look for clues that they may have lied.

At Talisman Training and Empowerment Training we know there is a difference between “The Truth” and someone lying. If someone believes what they are saying is the truth, then they are telling “Their Truth,” and cannot be said to be lying. This may not be the objective truth of say a video of a particular event, and even a video will only see and record sound from where it is placed, one perspective. For example four people can witness an accident; there will be four different versions of what happened. They can all be telling their truth and yet all four may not be telling “The Truth,” that’s why the Police have special accident investigators and scene of crime investigators. This is not done to prove someone is lying but to piece together their recollections and corroborate their experience of the event. Our truth’s are subjective and are limited by our sensory equipment, sight, hearing, feeling, taste, smell and our filters. Quantum Physics now accepts that the way an experiment is set-up and what the experimenter expects to prove has an effect on the results of their experiment. For more information have a look at Rupert Sheldrake Online

Electrical Lie Detectors

The lie detector or PolyGram only detects changes in emotions; it alone cannot tell if someone is lying. I will repeat that last bit, “It alone cannot tell if someone is lying,” only that the individual showed emotional reactions outside of a base mark about the question asked. This is the same for the so called experts. The only real way of telling if someone is lying is for them to tell you they lied. Anyone wanting more information about the PolyGram can visit Skeptics

Recent research suggests that in the future there may be a more accurate way of telling if someone is lying using brain scans, though as one of the researchers Feroze Mohamed, PhD, says, "There's a lot more reseach required." See utube clip here

Firstly let’s look at the advice of the world’s foremost expert in lie detection and FBI interview trainer Paul Eckman PhD. “There is NO ONE THING that a person may or may not do that indicates they are lying.” Paraphrased, “There are indications of inconsistency which need to be gone over again and again and areas where corroborating evidence needs to be sort.”

In NLP we use the information from "Eye Accessing Cues" for increased rapport and the benefit of our client’s so this is very useful model. At Talisman Training and Empowerment Trainings we teach a combination of Analytical Interviewing, NLP and Clean Elicitation for interviewing, this is amazingly effective and is one of the most respectful ways of interviewing young and other vulnerable witness, and interviewing generally for jobs and critical incident interviewing.

Eye Accessing Cues Explained.

Eye accessing cues are the movements our eye’s make when we are seeking information. With calibrating, that is continually checking it out; Eye Accessing Cues can tell us how someone is processing information, not if they are lying.

The Eye’s can be split into three zone, Upper, Middle and Lower. When the eyes move into the upper zone either left or right the person is processing visually, in pictures or movies, when the eyes move left or right in the middle zone, that is horizontally, the person is processing sounds, which we call auditory. When the eyes move into the lower zone the person is either processing through feelings, emotions or tactile feelings and playing internal tape loops, called inner dialogue. Generally a right-handed person will look up and to the left to remember pictures or movies and right to construct pictures or movies, look left in the middle zone to remember sounds and middle right to construct sounds, look down and to the left for internal dialogue and down right for emotions and tactile feelings. See diagram. The big misconception is that is a person is constructing either pictures or sounds they are lying. The only thing it means, if they are right-handed and conform to the model, is that they are processing information by constructing or reconstructing it, rather than it being a remembered picture or sequence of sounds.

Let me give you an example. If I asked you what you had for dinner on a Wednesday four weeks ago can you remember? Some people can, some will work backwards and reconstruct, piece together, what they had and others like me would not have a clue.

The Eye Accessing Cues is a model, not everyone conforms to it, not all left-handed people are the reverse of the right-handed model. The only way to find out how a person is processing information is to check it out on an individual basis. Remember that this is only a model of someone’s processing and not a lie detecting model. Also remember that a constructed picture or sound, once constructed can become a memory and change to a remembered picture or sound.

Conclusions on lying.

If someone is willing to deliberately tell lies so the observer or a Polygraph can be calibrated to the act of lying then are asked simple questions of no value, for example they turn over a deck of cards one at a time and they can either tell the observer the truth of a lie about the cards then you may get good at telling if they are lying about this trivial matter. Ask them a question about something that is important to them, something they don’t want you to know or is sensitive, then you might get a reaction and still you won’t know for sure if they are telling the truth or lying, especially if they believe what they are telling is “Their Truth.”

It is unsafe to presume you know someone is lying without independent corroborating evidence and even then they could still be telling you what they believe, which to them is not a lie.

I would suggest that we should all be very careful what we consider to be a lie as everyone’s truth is only as good as their senses, their filters and what they paid attention too at the time.

Using the Clean Elicitation Interviewing model developed by Talisman Training and Empowerment Training you can effectively recover more information from the interviewee than they consciously remember in a safe and respectful way.

Yesterday I went downtown for a batch of food I cannot get at the regular supermarket. Some of those

Yesterday I went downtown for a batch of food I cannot get at the regular supermarket. Some of those items I can get, but at a bonus price ranging from 150-200% of the price I buy it. The Arab Market isn't a bad place to do your groceries then. Especially if you aren't exactly rich like me. When I returned I plurked I just returned from that market and had a nice talk with the Muslim shopkeeper. That sparked a host of reactions about halal meat and animal cruelty. I didn't expect that, so I felt the need to explain my reasons to eat halal meat only (if any) as a Christian. It has to do with finances and the way animals are treated.

The debate focused on the question if animals need to be stunned before slaughter and whether they suffer more if they aren't. First, let me explain what halal slaughter means. Let me use some Wikipedia quotes to explain it:

Several other conditions are also stated: the knife's blade should be extremely sharp yet not be sharpened in front of the animal, the animal must not be slaughtered in front of other animals, and the animal's eyes and ears must be checked to ensure its health and suitability for slaughter. If it is deemed to be healthy, it is given water to drink (to quench its thirst). (...) [Before] the actual slaughter can begin.

and furthermore:

The act of slaughtering itself is preceded by mentioning the name of God. Invoking the name of God at the moment of slaughtering is sometimes interpreted as acknowledgment of God's right over all things. Furthermore, it is an asking of permission to take the life of the animal to be slaughtered, and endows the slaughterer with a sense of gratitude for God's creation, even prior to partaking in the meat of the animal.

The people slaughtering want to make sure they do it in a reverend way. There's a reason why stunning is frowned upon in this regard and I quote Wikipedia again to explain:

According to Islamic tradition, the conventional method used to slaughter the animal involves cutting the large arteries in the neck along with the esophagus and trachea with one swipe of an unserrated blade. Muslims argue it provides a relatively painless death, but some veterinary and animal rights groups dispute this claim. It also helps to effectively drain blood from the animal. This is important because the consumption of blood itself is forbidden in Islam. Muslims consider this method of killing the animal to be cleaner and more merciful to the animal. While the blood is draining, the animal is not handled until it has died.
Stunning the animal with a bolt-gun, as is the standard practice in FDA-approved slaughtering houses, may cause instantaneous death. Some Muslims regard meat from such a slaughter to be haram, (...) In some animals with thicker skulls, the bolt-gun has to be administered more than once, causing harm and suffering to the animal, which goes against the dictates of an Islamic slaughter.

I think Wikipedia makes it very clear what Dhabihah (Islamic slaughter) is and why this produces halal meat. In Germany a vet did an investigation for the federal court to determine if this practice is cruel and should be forbidden. I won't quote the whole thing, just link to it so people who are interested in it can read it. Click here for more information. It states the source, so if you are able to read German, you can trace back to the original text.

Now, why would a Christian want to eat halal food? Didn't Christ make all food clean? My answer to that is that Christ indeed declare all food clean. But that has nothing to do with my decision to eat halal meat. My rationale has to do with us being stewards of the Earth (see Genesis for that). God gave us the earth and everything on it to use, but we don't own it. So we have to be careful using something that's not ours. We don't want to give something back that's broken or defaced. Here's where my drive to live eco-green comes from, and why I eat only organic food and halal meat. I want to be sure the animals I eat are being taken care of properly and were treated with dignity when slaughtered. The practice of dhabihah meets my demands, so if I eat meat, it's halal only.

Just my two cents, feel free to comment if you disagree. We all can learn something when exchanging our thoughts.

According a census on year 2001, 4.19 lakh child laborers were identified as against 1.26 crore throughout India. T.M. Anbarasu , Labor Minister of Tamilnadu has told this in a function held on World Child Labors day last month. He also told that State Government had allocated Rs.50 lakh for eradicating child labor in the current financial year(2008). And now the child labor strength is considerably reducing. Now we can able to see some awareness among peoples.

Sivakasi located in Dharmapuri district,TamilNadu was well known for child labour. Few years back almost all the children from the nearby villages were working in the fireworks and matchbox factories. After some serios actions from the government and some initiatives from NGO's helped the childrens to go back to school and now the strength of child labours was almost reduced and few friends of mine from that souuroundings says that nowadays no children are working in the fireworks factories. May be in the holidays they are working. And in chennai also we can see a little improvemnt in the removal of child labours and lot of NGO's are working on this now.

But still a long way to go. Lets hope for the best. It's my long time dream to see a child labor less universe. It's not only the responsibility of government...it is the responsibility of every individual. Lets make it. :)

FACT:The body can only process about 32-ounces of liquids an hour (maybe a bit more in extreme tempe

FACT:The body can only process about 32-ounces of liquids an hour (maybe a bit more in extreme temperatures, but not much more!) so it is important not to over hydrate.

FACT: The body can only process about 350-calories an hour.

Googling through runners and running articles, my head nods with conviction as I have gone experienced few indicators lately on my run that hence leads to lack of hydration not just core preparation.

Let me share to you interesting facts which I'm sure ALL OF US will benefit.

The following five points are hydration and electrolyte problems (Karl King Ultrarunning Magazine analysis, matrix and format May, 2007)

1) Low on fluids and possibly electrolytes.

Symptoms: Plunging weight, lightheaded, shortness of breath, stop and go slower and wobbly pace, urine is yellow and sparse. Hint: Severe dehydration; the worst case scenario.

Solution: Consume liquids immediately. Further deterioration leads to dizzy spells, rust colored urine, fainting and hours of down time, which could lead to the ugly DNF; and will if an IV is used.

*** Immediate indication of dehydration: Squeeze all your toes together for five seconds. If they spring back you are OK. If they stay curled or curl up more you are dehydrating and need to remedy ASAP.

2) Low on electrolytes but fluids are okay.

Symptoms: Horrible cramping begins. Wham! They strike incredibly fast and are generally severe. You wind up on the ground curled up like a pretzel. Weight, urine output and color had been okay? Hint: You need electrolytes.

Solution: Immediately start replacing with S!Caps, Endurolytes, salt tablets, etc. Don’t lay there. Get up and start moving at an easy pace. In less than an hour the sodium level will balance and the cramping will subside. Yeah!

3) Too much water and electrolytes are okay.

Symptoms: The stomach begins to bloat (easy to spot as you begin to look pregnant) and urine output is normal and clear. Weight is up a few pounds and you feel a bit sluggish. Oops, I have gone to the starting line in this condition!

Solution: Correct this very common over-hydration condition by drinking less (until weight is normal). Drinking more fluids may lead to the next problem.

4) Too much water and low electrolytes.

Symptoms: The stomach looks like a water-filled balloon, there if puffiness in your extremities, your weight is way up, and at times there is excessive clear urination. You are sluggish and performance suffers because you have to stop to water the cactus every five minutes. Hint: You are super-hydrated.

Solution: Boost electrolytes and forget the fluids until your weight is normal. This may take several hours or more!

5) Too much water and high electrolytes.

Symptoms: You look and feel like the Pillsbury doughboy. Weight is much too high, the stomach is bloated and all the extremities are really swollen. Urine output is clear and sparse. You are sluggish and your performance is suffering dramatically. Hint: You are maxed out with water and sodium.

Solution: Stop fluid and electrolyte intake until you’re weight normalizes, which may take hours or days.

My trainings and mileage may not yet have reached half-marathons nor near 10k or 50k races but the advice of taking Half the mileage route is much more helpful once you attend on the flats and half in the hills. Do daily core strengthening and stretching workouts (at a fitness center) and cross train with long bike rides. (oh shoot. I hate hate doing such but I really have to get into such for maximum runners results)

Runners who intend to increase their mileage and reach through heights of distance should have this stamina and confidence boosting training regimen that may seem extreme; So, having 100 miles a week is plausible? Yes, even 120 mileage or more but It'll take sometime not overnight.

I don't recall Forest Gump training ever and thought through proper nutrition except for his anti-oxidant, Does that box of chocolate ring a bell?

The assignment my editor needed me to cover today was another daily with a deadline of 4 p.m. Unfortunately, the subject of the profile story wasn't available until later in the afternoon.

Luckily, my editor said we didn't need to treat this story with as much rush since it had already happened. I have to finish writing that, pack for my friend's bachelorette party this weekend and get the house ready to babysit the kids all day tomorrow.

I covered a story about a local girl receiving an award a few weeks ago, wrote it last week and now it's printed in the local section of Friday's edition of The Fort Pierce Tribune.

Read the article here on TCPalm.com: "Fort Pierce teenager runner-up in national hero search."
