OK, I talk all the time about how fast celebrities seem to shed their baby weight, but this is still so unbelievable to me. She gave birth less than three months ago! Angelina looks so healthy and is definitely rocking a killer body - wayyy better than that skinny, frail frame she had pre-Knox & Viv.

Of course, Angelina was grilled on the red carpet about her post-pregnancy body which she attributed to chasing around 4 childern (under the age of 7 I might add) and breastfeeding. 'Nough said.

So, do we love her or hate her for getting into shape so quickly?

Looks like having 6 kids is effecting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie the same way as it does the rest of the world.... who would have thought!  Amusingly, the big news this morning is that Brad and Angie are having trouble getting alone time and that they are "exhausted".  Everyone is making this out to be a BIG DEAL, but it sounds to me like every other family that decides to have children.

Angelina was interviewed for her upcoming movie, Changeling, where she had this to say...

“We often try and have a bath alone together at the end of the night and sit and talk, but they hear the water and want to jump in. Even if we lock our door, the children come knocking.”When quizzed on her plans to marry Pitt she replied: “You’ll have to ask Brad.”

Yup!  Sounds normal to me! 

Hay películas en la historia del cine que no son suficientemente reconocidas o no calan en la gente. En el caso de la que tratamos ahora "Amor a Quemarropa", ha sido con el paso del tiempo cuando se ha convertido en una obra maestra y en película de culto para toda una generación.

Sinopsis: El joven y solitario Clarence (Christian Slater) está celebrando su cumpleaños como siempre lo hace, viendo películas de kung-fu en un destartalado cine de Detroit, cuando una rubia explosiva, Alabama (Patricia Arquette), hace su entrada en la sala derramando sus palomitas sobre él. De este incidente surgirá una loca aventura de amor que llevará a los dos jóvenes a vivir una verdadera noche de pasión. Alabama es, en realidad, una prostituta alquilada por el mejor amigo de Clarence como regalo de cumpleaños. Los dos jóvenes se enamoran y contraen matrimonio. Clarence intenta alejar a su mujer de la prostitución, y se enfrenta con su chulo (Gary Oldman) al ir a recoger las pertenencias de Alabama, pero al abrir la maleta se encuentran con una considerable cantidad de cocaína... que utilizarán como esperanza para realizar todos los sueños que han deseado.

El guión y la historia están escritas por Quentin Tarantino, que la vendió en su momento para poder realizar lo que sería su ópera prima "Reservoir Dogs".  Lo que la hace más grande todavía es que el director de la misma Tony Scott, respetara el guión y no hiciera apenas cambios, lo que consigue que la película parezca dirigida por el propio Tarantino.

El otro gran acierto de la película es su excelente reparto de actores, que cada cual a su manera hacen unas interpretaciones excelentes. Desde los protagonistas Christian Slater y Patricia Arquette, que lo bordan, hasta todos los secundarios, que aunque casi todos tienen papeles pequeños, a excepción de Michael Rapaport, desde Dennis Hopper, pasando por Val Kilmer, Gary Oldman, James Gandolfini, Brad Pitt, Chris Penn, Tom Sizemore, Bronson Pinchot..... la lista sería interminable y las interpretaciones excelentes.

Hmm. Hm hm hm. It seems like exactly 50% of the Coen bros. films are absolutely brilliant, and the other half...a little less than that. This one is the latter. I just found that there were many more things I disliked about the movie than I liked. For example, the characters were shallow, and although each had their own distinct personality, they were all very predictable. It also drug on far too long, and I didn't buy the conclusion at all.

Still, though, it's good, just not as good as many of their other films. It's not a must-see, but it's definitely a should-see.

Russ:
Typical Coen brothers fare, which means it was pretty awesome. What I liked best about the film is that it maintained its sense of humor, even in the face of some pretty crazy scenes. As expected, things go from bad to worse as the story unfolds; but the film never gets ugly (like in Fargo or Raising Arizona).

It's definitely a must-see, but in a growing world of super-expensive theater tickets, I'd say you can hold off for a rental.

Shiloh is already half the size of Angelina!  I wonder if she'll be tall like her daddy?

Abschließend lässt sich sagen, dass es sich bei "Burn after Reading" um einen eher wenig unterhaltsamen Film handelt. Es gibt sicherlich den ein oder anderen Lacher, der durch die hochkarätige Besetzung gut rübergebracht wird, aber das war es schon. Der Film bleibt einfach weit hinter den Erwartungen und der langgezogene Plot bereitet dem Zuschauer ein Gefühl der Langeweile. Wenn der Film zuende ist und man glücklich auf die Uhr schaut, ist man doch sehr überrascht, das gerade einmal 90 Mintuen vergangen sind, denn eigentlich hat man mit viel länger gerechnet.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted at the premiere of Brad's new movie Changeling at the New York Film Festival over the weekend. It's Angie's first public appearance since the birth of the couple's twins, so of course, there was only one question on everyone's minds. With the fifth and sixth members of the Jolie-Pitt clan upon us, is it time to start wrapping it up... quite literally in Brad's case.

When asked by The Daily Mail whether she was done having kids, Ang said that even though she is exhausted, she isn't ready to stop popping them out yet.

She also opened up about her alone time with Brad, saying 'We often try to have a bath alone together at the end of the night and sit and talk, but they hear the water and want to jump in." Oh I say! To be a Jolie-Pitt, eh? I say keep 'em coming. Fill the world with Jolie-Pitts.

The new mom, who has joked that he would like to have a full soccer team of kids, would stop at a half-dozen, said over the weekend that there's no stopping in the near future.

"We are going to have more kids," revealed the Oscar winner. "One way or another."

Don't assume that Angie is completely overwhelmed with six monkeys, she says,

"I feel great. I feel very happy that they’re healthy... Everybody’s great! The babies are good and getting big and healthy and developing their personalities."

Even thought the family recently relocated to Berlin, Angelina, who says she spends her free time at home "just running around with the kids," is looking forward to returning to their home in France.

"We love France. We’d like to spend more time there again. We’ve got a lot of wonderful friends. We love the air, and the life, and the other children we met. It was a beautiful, beautiful quality of life and beautiful place to live."

This weekend I saw Ghost Town which was very funny and was a great story. Ricky Gervais does an excellent job of being witty and sarcastic without being heavy handed. I think he is hilarious. It was exactly what I wanted it to be. Funny and heartwarming.
I also saw Burn After Reading. The Coen Brothers do such a good job of creating characters. Everyone was saying Brad was super funny in this movie, which he is but George Clooney was fantastic. It looks like Clooney lost a bunch of weight for this movie. And of course Tilda, Frances and Malkovich were phenomenal as well. I'm sure a film like this isn't one where people point out how great a job the costume designer did, but I'm going to. Clooney's jeans that were worn just too high up at the waist that tapered in at the bottom were amazing for his character, as was his thick gold chain. Brad Pitt's shorts and the way they had him wearing ill fitting suits were perfect for his gym-rat character. Brad is a great actor but I think we're all at the point where we feel we know Brad a little too well to have him be believable in that sort of a role at this point, but I got over it. They created such an interesting story about how it would really play out if some regular joes got a hold of classified information and how all of the characters would really behave. I actually think the scenes with J.K. Simmons who plays the C.I.A superior are genius. The Coen Brothers display insight into true human nature in this movie.

SNL was really funny this weekend. Andy Samberg did a great sketch called Mark Wahlberg talks to animals.
