Being a shutterbug, though I never claimed to be any good, I snapped a few shots of the fall leaves and put some up here for you all to enjoy.

I'm not sure who took this picture of me - probably my father - and I am not positive where it is, though I am pretty sure it's at Karnak.

I found this picture in a box while cleaning out a bunch of stuff & I don't know why, but I really like it...so, I had to scan it and share it.

i'm officially on vacation. Mom and I are leaving Monday morning and will be back friday sometime to then be handed off to the cowboy from hence we will be headed to the pumpkin show and to wooster for the C.O.W. homecoming. It will be quite a busy vacation.

I think that's all the update for now. I need to begin packing and do some errands before doing some studying.

but watched tv with mommy.
because i didnt want to fall asleep and miss The Amazing Race.

7th/tuesday
bf fetched me and we went to Giant to shop for picnic stuff.
mommy treated him to a bowl of soup.
showed him some random photos while waiting for jasmin to come over.

she bought me so much stuff from Beijing and Bali.
but i didnt buy much for her.
i dont really know what to buy as souvenir for my friends.

anyway, did a little bit of catching up.
and looked through her photos. missed her so much!

8th/wednesday
went to Bobby's grand opening at Cuppage Terrace.
been a good girl. drank only 2 glasses of white wine.
even when food and drinks are free flow.
(my boss and Bobby's boss told me to keep drinking!!)
lovely place, i like it better than Chijmes.

then bf came over to fetch me and we headed into JB.
he allowed me to drive his car in there.
pretty cool experience.

ate Ramly burger and had coffee at Old Town coffeeshop.
(woot. i cant stop eating!)
and we headed back home.

9th/thursday
bf fetched me home.
and mommy gave him another bowl of soup.
(he is such a lucky boy)

10th/friday
bf and i went to sentosa. =D
but beforehand, we headed to see the doctor.
had a bad migraine. and my blood pressure was 180/120.
got a scolding from Dr Lynette again.
she said, im going to get a stroke anytime soon.
need to go back to her in a week or two.

anyway, we had our picnic in sentosa.
played with the chalky sea water.
headed to vivocity for a little window shopping, had dinner.
and left for kent ridge park.

11th/saturday
slept till 1100hrs. had porridge.
watched the 1st episode of Prison Break 4.
read a little. nap from 1300 to 1600hrs.

prepared and bf came to fetch me.
we went to pick little junjun up before heading to faz's.

first time ive been invited to hari raya celebration.
(nice!)

next stop, bugis.
walked around, bf couldnt get the shirt he really liked.
and he was so sad!

so we had Ah Chew's Dessert.
(yes, i love it so much. i'll never miss it if im in bugis!)
and went to meet his friends in pasir ris.
on our way there, i was so craving for beer.
that we pulled over by a 7-11 and i bought one.
funnily, my ic got checked. -.-''

met up with raymond, weelee and 3 other peeps.
had some tea. and left for home.

12th/sunday
am planning to sleep in.
watch Prison Break and do some reading.
got to leave bf alone as he has got to study for exams.

i just cant wait.

This place doesn't make me homesick, per say, but citysick. I miss going to gay bars with my friends...Id be hard-pressed to think of a single gay person I've met here. I miss culture. I went to the library today and it just depressed me...its just a hole in the wall house with dark brown metal shelves and middle-aged women in cat shirts surfing the internet.

I took a lot for granted in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh, by most peoples standards, is not a big city...but it was still a city. It was a cultural explosion compared to this place.

Maybe its just the rain thats making me so sad....when it rains the quaint smell of ocean is gone and is replaced with dead fish. And not even "good" dead fish, like sushi (which, by the way I have yet to find a decent sushi place and I live NEAR THE OCEAN), but rotting dead fish.

We need to get out of here...I keep mentioning Chicago and Steve tells me it seems my heart is deadset on it, which its not really. I just think Chicago is more realistic than NYC. We'll see...

We then went to the office for a visit and I totally forgot that it was monthly meeting time. (Actually I didn't even know it was Friday, I thought it was only Thursday).  It was good to see everyone again and meet the new people in the office.  They were also nice enough to let me stay for the lunch (thanks again!!) that we have every meeting so it was an extended visit.  Sam did really well through out the whole thing although I did have to take him out into the hall when he started fussing during the end of the meeting.

From there, instead of going home, I took Sam up to the Salon to visit with Mel and the girls.  Again everything went well, until I had to feed him again.  We walked over to Hazelton lanes to try to find some formula as I had already used the can that I had brought with me at my dads place.  Let me tell you, it wasn't easy to find what I was looking for.  Whole foods had a can con concentrate with iron, but what I needed was one without iron.  I looked around for another shop but wasn't able to find anything so back to Whole foods I went.  I did buy the can or iron fortified and asked for some hot water, so far no problem.  I then realzied that I needed a can opener to open the can.  After another quick run around the "mall" I couldn't find a can opener for under $20.00, so I wound up asking to borrow one from the Faema that is located there.  Finally with water, formula and bottle ready I settled down to feed Sam on a chair in the mall.  I do have to say, it's amazing how many people will stop and talk to you (especially older women) if you are feeding a baby somewhere outside of the home.  I even had a couple of guys who were also parents stop and chat for a little bit.

Sam and I then waited for Mel to finish work and went back to pick her up.  Mel surprised me by suggets that we get take out from my favouite chinese restaurant Spadina Garden.  It was the perfect end to a perfect day.

Or so I thought...

Sam has had a stuffy nose for the last few days now, and it's been causing him to wake up a couple of times a night, no big deal...

Last night around 4 or so, we heard a bark and almost imediately knew that the circus had arrived in town and that Sam's stuffy nose had progressed into the dreaded croup.  Now, from reading up about it on the internet, and Mel having gone through it with Harry several times, there was no panic (well mostly no panic) and we imediately ran a hot shower to get the bathroom nice and steamy.  After about 15 minutes in the steam room, keeping Sam nice and relaxed and calm, it seemed to clear up the barking cough so we brought him into the bedroom to finish the night sleeping with us.  The rest of the night pretty much went without incident and he seems no worse for wear today.  Let's hope that it's just a mild case and that he's not to badly off tonight.

As a funny ending to this post.  Mel and I were having our tea out on the back deck this morning when we heard a knocking coming from where we keep our gargabe and recycling bins.  I went over to investigate and open the lid to our ginormous blue bin and what should I see, but a raccoon the size of a medium sized dog (I am completely serious, it was the largest raccon I've ever seen) trapped in there.  I had put our garbage bag in there to keep it away from the raccoons (glad to see that idea worked) and I guess he must have found a way in and then couldn't get out again, I say it serves the bugger right!!  I let him out and without a glance backward, he sauntered off under the deck.  Cheeky bugger!!

I followed Big Girl Blue's lead and created a magazine cover with my face on it. So I'm famous! Briefly. I don't know if you can tell by the picture but I'm wearing pjs. In fact, I am wearing my beer mug pj pants. They are so comfy. I would be wearing them now except it's a little cooler out and I have to bundle up a little bit more.

Vandaag zou ik eigenlijk een nieuw filmpje gaan maken waarvan ik het begin wel al gefilmt heb maar de rest nog niet want ik moest wachten tot me pa me lovett poster ging ophangen maar hij dook na dat we ffkes langs de apotheek zijn geweest en de brillenboer bijna meteen al weer in bed omdat hij hoofdpijn heeft en nu is het al weer kwart over 5 dus heb ik er zelf ook geen zin meer in.

Wel heb ik vanmiddag foto's gemaakt die ik eindelijk op me pc heb staan door middel van het kabeltje xD. Want wilde het eerst met de cardreader doen maar hij liep de hele tijd vast dus kon ik ze der niet af halen. Paps is ondertussen al weer der uit dus heb ik maar ffkes het kabeltje gevraagt en nu heb ik ze lekker op de pc gezet zo dat ik me layout kon verandere! En zomeeten staat der eindelijk een foto bij profiel van Lola ^^ En nu ga ik er weer vandoor en proberen van me kwaadheid af te komen wat denk ik toch niet gaan lukken xD LIEFS LAURA

I just read something shocking for me and even everyone who loves BIG B of India. Yes, I am talking about AMitabh Bachchan. I read on news channels website that today is his birthday and he was admitted to hospital with complains of stomach ache. Read the news below.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was on Saturday admitted to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai after he complained of stomach ache due to suspected incisional hernia, giving anxious moments to fans on his 66th birthday.

Bachchan, wearing a brown woollen cap and a blue sweat shirt, was first rushed in an ambulance to nearby Nanavati hospital from his residence 'Jalsa' in Juhu for a check up and scan and was later admitted to Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra. The actor was suspected to be suffering from incisional hernia, a recurring problem that has been troubling him since the near-fatal accident on the sets of 'Coolie' in 1982, but there was no immediate confirmation from family or doctors attending on him.

Sources said the Big B, who was shooting for 'Teen Patti' till yesterday, had taken ill last night and complained of abdominal cramps. "Last night he complained of stomach ache for which he was taken to Nanavati Hospital this morning then he was admitted to Leelavati. At this moment, he is under treatment. We do not the test results as yet," Bachchan's secretary Sunil Doshi said.

A large number of fans and media persons, who gathered outside the actor's house on his birthday were shocked to see an ambulance taking the actor on a stretcher accompanied by son Abhishek to the hospital. Bachchan's daughter Shweta Nanda, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai and family friend and SP leader Amar Singh followed the ambulance in a car.

An extra bonus is that I get to spend the day with Matt, until he has to go to work.  Yay!!  He did mandate that he must sleep until at least 9:30 though.  Big baby.  Who stayed up until 2:00 a.m. playing computer games??  Not me!

Apparently I snore.  A lot.  And apparently it bothers Matt to the point that he wants to wrap my face in duct tape sleep in another room.  So he did.  And has.  It's kind of funny, in a way.  He will wait until I'm totally asleep and then go to bed in another room.  Kizz was over last night at his place and she slept with him.  Maybe my snoring bothers her, too!  :)

At any rate, I'm going to make some kind of conscious effort to work on snoring.  Would probably help if I lost some weight, but I'm already working on that.  Quitting smoking is the next step.  Joy. I will probably use the patch again and see how that goes.  That's how I quit last time (for a year and a half) and am pretty sure I can do it again.  I've tried Chantix and it just does nothing for me, although I know several people who has used it with huge success.

I'm on Facebook now and have been re-connecting with all sorts of people from high school and college.  Matt kind of motivated me to get on there and now I'm glad I did.  One of my friends, Kim, has a really interesting blog, which is of no surprise, because she was one of the most interesting people I knew in high school.

And it's funny...everyone is all grown up and holy crap, mostly looking like serious hotties, and are married and have kids and interesting careers!!  I think I'm pretty much the only one that got fat and less cute as time went by.  Maybe.  Or maybe I'm just being too hard on myself.  Life has not been easy for the last ten years and I'm still pulling myself out of the shit.  I'm almost all of the way out now, but I have some catching up to do!

And I'm totally ready and prepared and on the road for that.  {{QUASHES negative voice in head}}

Thursday, October 9th. The design director in my internship place was celebrating his 25th birthday and he was so generous by treating us for dinner at Ichiban Sushi. We bought him a birthday cake, sang for him, then he blew the candles, shared the cake and we took some pictures together. The feast ended at about 7 PM. Nggg.. Happy birthday, boss! *burp*

Friday, October 10th. I visited Telaga Restaurant in BSD City, Tangerang. Since my digicam was still in charging process, I did not bring it. Instead, I took lots of pictures with my aunt's cellphone (Nokia N95 - 5 megapixel). Then I was transferring all pictures to my cellphone via bluetooth connection during the way home.

I did take lots of food pictures. From asparagus soup until the ice cream. But there's a failure during the data transfer which then lead to the files loss. The only files left are the restaurant's photos. All food pictures were gone!

The truth was I deleted the files accidentally. (-_-) I failed as a photo blogger. Hhh.. I really wish there would be also a recycle bin in the cellphone.

Btw, Nokia N95 produced such a high resolution image. Lovin' it! But I dislike the camera interface. I think it's not friendly. It keeps returning to the default setting once you exit the camera.
