„Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.“

und bedeutet soviel wie:

"Haare wachset Haare wachset Wachset Haare Haare, Haare kommet Haare kommet kommet Haare Haare Haare."

Gloria in excelsis Deo

In diesem Sinne:

"WWW" or the phonetic "dub-dub-dub" is known to all who have somehow navigated to this page using some popular search engine. The internet today is one-stop information center - Whats the big deal here, why is everyone willing to do their business in this meta world?

We all grew up in this computing world knowing answers to all such questions but the real question always is have i got enough of the web?

@see http://www.worldwidewebsize.com/ all that one could predict is through the indexed pages on the search engine but the web is so vast that no prediction could be just.

Am I using the web the way i should, the content that i have zeroed upon is it the best thing available or is there anything else that is better. Sometimes i find that some of my friends have found a better page for a topic that i was looking? The Search Engines can never make of the context in which we are in while we make a search for example when i search for "Ganymede" using Google what i get in return is Ganymede-the moon, but somehow in the context that i was referring to Ganymede the new Eclipse 3.4 unlike Ganymede the moon of Jupiter.

The answer as i see would be the new Web 2.0

or the formulated Web 3.0

solving many of the drawbacks the that the web today provide.

I'm over it. Everywhere you look, it's Web 2.0, Web 2.0 … Some of the staff at my place of work didn't even know there was a Web 1.0 and I don't have the heart to tell them that there wasn't until Web 2.0 came along.

Now, just as they're coming to grips with Web 2.0, they've learnt from Google University that Web 3.0 is just around the corner. I don't have the heart to tell them that so far, it's actually just Web 2.1, but everyone inflates their version numbers to fool you into thinking that their thing is bigger than it really is …

Maybe we hang on to our labels way past their shelf life. We don't say 'Distance Education' all that much because on the web, it's all distance education. But we still use 'Flexible Learning', when it's all flexible learning - apart from the odd Boot Camp here and there.

And we still talk about 'Web 2.0' in a web world richly populated with collaborative, interactive, media-rich, multi-user experiences. Why? Once it might have been appropriate to highlight the unique benefits of a small, new sector of the web experience by giving it a special label. But now, when the unique has become ubiquitous, what's the point?

Let's retire Web 2.0 as a label. If it's not all Web 2.0 now, it soon will be.

Christopher Barnatt is the author of explainingcomputers.com and Associate Professor of Computing and Organizations in Nottingham University Business School. His series explaining computers, Web 2.0, and Cloud Computing allow both novice learners and experts the opportunity to add information to their own knowledge base. Barnatt's style of delivering his messages is unpretentious, completely thorough, and very approachable.

What Is Cloud Computing?

Cloud computing according to Christopher is where "data, software applications, or computer processing power are accessed from a "cloud" of online resources."

1. Cloud Computing permits individual users to access their data and applications from any device.

2. Businesses can reduce their "capital" costs by purchasing software and hardware as a "utility" service rather than buying the technologies outright

SaaS aka Software As A Service

"Cloud computing is closely associated with Web 2.0 and a key element of both trends is the emergence of online applications aka SaaS." SaaS allows small businesses to access the same computing power and applications as large corporations without having to spend giant sums of money to own these technologies

HaaS aka Hardware As A Service

Hardware as a service allows businesses to purchase "computer processing capacity" over the web.

Amazon's "Elastic Compute Cloud" service allows users to pick and choose from a ala carte menu the services and storage products necessary for them to perform their tasks online at the highest cost savings available

Google's "App Engine" service allows developers to run web applications on Google's infrastructure

HaaS Advantages Amazon EC2 aka Elastic Compute Cloud

1. Elastic: allows users to increase or decrease their hardware requirements within minutes

2. Flexible: because each user can choose the specification of each "individual instance" of computing power purchased

3. Inexpensive: no capital investment (purchasing outright technologies) is required

4. Reliable: EC2 uses Amazon's "proven data centers" and "network infrastructure

Trend For Cloud Computing

The trend of Cloud Computing has been compared, according to Christopher, to the "development of the electricity network 100 years ago." At that time companies stopped having to create their own electricity and were able to "plug into a national electricity grid."

Cloud Computing represents the same model as individuals and business organizations can connect to a Cloud of computing resources.

Utility Computing aka Cloud Computing

No software installations are necessary. No hardware installations are necessary. No capital expenditures.

Cloud Computing Devices: What are they and what are the benefits?

1. Low Power, Low Cost

2. "Cloud Book" a device that has been dubbed a "computing appliance"

a.) Easy to use, easy to learn, ready to use

What Does This All Represent?

1. Return to Centralization: An age where "data, applications, and processing power are largely remote from the user interface device."

Analysis: This levels the playing field between small and large business, creates less drain on user assets, and it signals a collaboration of assets and knowledge on a world wide scale

2. Centralized resources could spell "doom" for the Microsoft business model where licensing and software products are pushed out to individual boxes. The era of loading software to an individual machine, maintaining the most current software operating systems, purchasing upgrades, and being forced to make expenditures on new software when the old software was still highly serviceable are going to be over

Merke: Wer fähige Kritik anbringen will, muss eine grundsätzliche Kritikfähigkeit aufweisen.

What we’re thinking about together in this series of posts is an “ideal” interface

What we're thinking about together in this series of posts is an "ideal" interface (or portal/dashboard) that will allow for a more efficient and personalized web experience. There are many very cool applications and functions scattered all over the internet - however, this fragmentation brings with it a lot of frustration. Is is possible to make a very cool application (code name: MetaMee) that will simplify our lives? That's what we're exploring.

If you're just arriving for the first time, I'd strongly suggest a quick read of part 1, part 2, and part 3 for context and backstory so that this one will make more sense.

We've looked at the very basics of the 5 main functions that would go into the dashboard/interface, and some of the me-centric personalization capabilities that would make on-line life simpler. Now let's step back and look at data flow, and for that, we'll need one of my classic ugly Powerpoint drawings:

OK, let's look at these items one at a time and see how it works together.

The MeeStream (Out) is all my "stuff" that I'm putting out to the web. MetaMee would allow me to auto-login to all my data stores, and through the MetaMee interface and/or widgets from the various sites, more easily determine what gets published where, when, and how. All my ShareMedia (Share Meedia...?) gets funneled through this dashboard, making it easier also to track the stuff. People can then subscribe to Mee, or to whatever aspects of my stream interest them.

The MeeStream (In) is my subscription list. I'm subscribing to people, to information, to news, to videos, to e-commerce deals...to whatever is out there that interests me. Maybe I like Tangerine Toad's blog, and I subscribe; but as time goes on, I want to see everything that the Toad (Alan Wolk) puts out there - Tweets, photos, what have you. Click - done.

My Intell-Agents (see part 3) are monitoring my MeeStream, learning from my ratings and preferences, and suggesting new resources for my consideration.

The MeeVault (I have borrowed the "Vault" term from Microsoft's HealthVault initiative) is the family jewels underlying this dashboard. It is strictly local (MetaMee is a hybrid local/on-line application as I see it), and I have full control over the settings of what information is exposed, when, how, and to whom/to what. My personal information is "layered" into different levels, with full ID and purchasing info in the most secure area of the vault, only be released when I've decided to make an e-commerce purchase. The MeeVault feeds the "Settings" area, and we'd use those settings to expose or veil various layers of our identity with all of our web transactions.

What about privacy? If I'm sending out Intell-Agents with my preferences, and various information points are coming back into my stream, maybe I don't want the world to know what I'm interested in. That where a P1 setting or APP (Anonymous Persona & Preferences) comes in. This is my "stub" residing out there on the front edge of MetaMee, talking to the Internet cloud. My anonymous persona communicates to the internet what I like, what my "similars" are, what I'm seeking - but it does not identify me. This way, our various APPs can communicate similars to each other and help us find more of what we want, but without compromising our full identity.

Let me pick on Tangerine Toad again. For a long time, very few people knew that the man behind the Tangerine curtain was Alan Wolk. But there was a persona out there, Tangerine Toad, and you could actually know a good bit about whomever was hiding behind that ID - you could see his interests, discover his similars, learn from him...all without knowing it was Alan. Similarly, our APP stub allows us to express the full range of our interests and find matching resources in a "safe mode," before exposing our identity.

Admittedly, this is a lot to digest, and "there be dragons" here in the many technical details. What are your thoughts? You technical/programming types - is this out beyond the stratosphere, or is it do-able? Would love to get your feedback as we crowd-create this (very rough) blueprint of an ideal web dashboard...

Well, most people often get confused when they read these terms. Web 3.0 and SEO are interrelated and to understand them in a better way, let us learn both these terms separately.

Web 3.0 or the semantic web is a web revolution. Here, the contents of web are in an easy expressive form. Software professionals and even SEO specialists can then interpret, understand as well as use these contents to find, share and integrate information easily and more conveniently than ever.

The features of web 3.0 include tagging, taxonomies, social networks. These features give better interactivity to individuals. Web 3.0 technologies are used in professional SEO services, interoperability, open technologies, open APTs, protocols, open software platforms, and mobile Internet.

The evolution of Web 3.0 has tremendously improved programmed database searches, thereby helping people to select different types of data such as picking vital information, relevant details or choosing vacation destinations.

Now, that you have some idea as what web 3.0 is, let us understand what SEO is.

What is SEO?

SEO is an acronym of Search Engine Optimization. It is a method to make your blog or web site, attain top ranks in major search engines. Here, you need to make proper use of keywords that relate to your products or services and position them in HTML. This increases the traffic flow to your web sites and helps you earn more profits.

In simple words, SEO is a sort of marketing strategy for web sites. Professionals such as SEO writers, SEO specialists, and professional SEO consultants are familiar with the working of search algorithms, mentality of Internet users, what such users look for. They create SEO rich web pages, web sites and SEO articles, so that people can easily locate those web sites.

Therefore, if you are an Internet marketer or have a blog to post and are planning to hire an SEO consultant, you need to choose the SEO services, which have enough experience and are efficient in WEB 3.0.

Be wary of doorway pages because some deceptive SEO specialists may mislead your content to some other sites. If this happens, then search engines will remove your site from their index. Since it is ultimately you hiring a company, you need to be sure to select a credible SEO company.

Thus, WEB 3.0 and SEO are very competitive endeavors, which require intense concentration and a thorough in-depth understanding of web features, search engine algorithms and mechanisms. The revolution is coming!

Description

In 1989 we were all connected by the World Wide Web. Now we're trying to keep pace with Web 2.0: real interaction between users, information sharing, online collaboration (wiki) and virtual communities. Marketing is just trying to became accoustomed to this, expecially its mobile version (with extra possibilities).

In the meantime the creator of WWW is paving the ground for further web deelopment. In an Interview to the 'TimesOnline' Sir Tim berners-Lee said that in the future every little fragment of information will be connected with each other in the web. We're are moving to the Semantic Web, Web 3.0, that will allow to realize networks between every type of contents between web-based connections.
The Semantic utopia is to represent every information to allow to identify relevant&appropriate connections to other information.

Is still a 'strange to say' concept, but it promises great apllications to come. Imagine for the pharmaceutical industry the possibility to establish connections between researches of new disease treatments or drugs. The applications will be infinite, as the possibility to identify every step of the production and distribution of a product.

We can sit down and see what is to come, or perhaps we can take part actively, maybe learning from someone that is already trying technology that involves semantic devices (as WideTag Inc).

Whatever you choose, the web will reach 3.0.

http://www.facebook.com
http://www.twiter.com
http://www.flickr.com
http://del.icio.us

Seems that the industry continues to develop from both sides: web-based plataforms and storage.
When

Seems that the industry continues to develop from both sides: web-based plataforms and storage.

When I saw an article on C-Net about the new-generation TeraByte Hard-drive I confess that I asked myself: "Why so much?" (I asked the same question 5 years ago when my friend bought a 250GB HD).

No, I'm not getting old, I'm asking again because 5 years ago we didn't have Gmail, Flickr and neither YouTube.

Since 2006, I think I've downloaded about 10 or 15 albums. Not too much, and do you know why? I just listen to the music on my mp3 player on my way to work, and here I listen everything online. Yes, 100% online.

Same for my pictures and videos. I just get the best of them and upload on YouTube and Flickr. If I want to watch something cool I can easily find there, or on Vimeo, Metacafe, DailyMotion.. whatever! After watching I get the link and send to all my friends. I don't need to attach a 5MB file in my email. I also love to embed videos on my Blog. It's dead easy and I don't need to store that giga video.

We are digital immigrants and sometimes we may keep their files saved on our computers, some may keep some dvds and blu-ray disks on their shelves. That's because our clients still don't trust the internet, and because we are still not connected all the time (most of them, but not all).

Maybe I'm just a passionate geek that loves the internet, but it's even more common to keep your files stored online. Even my mum' sends me YouTube links! Everybody is sharing, publishing and commenting.

Yes, afterall we may need some space.
